So far in our Task-Based Training series, we’ve looked at various ways you can share your app as well as best practices of sharing. Then, we transitioned to how to integrate the sales process with your app, create consistent branding, add custom content in your app, create a digital experience, and streamline the sales process. Now, we’re moving on to highlight features in our “Pro” subscription. First up, is co-branding, which helps salespeople highlight key partners. 

Using co-branding to highlight key partners

Co-branding is a great way to encourage your key business partners to use and share the app. With co-branding, referral partners share more because they’re on the app too! They are not only sharing your contact information and resources, but their contact information as well. Additionally, each co-branding partner gets a button at the top of the app’s home page in their branded version. There’s no limit on co-branding partners, but partners must be a Tapper before you can co-brand the app with their information. We recommend also making sure they are registered with your app before setting up co-branding. Co-branding is a great way to kick off a conversation with a potential partner. It’s also easy value to add to your top referral partners. Although there are a number of ways to add value to referral partners, co-branding with them is one of the best.

Co-brand your app

  1. Log in to your desktop dashboard and navigate to the ‘Tappers’ tab.
  2. Click the name of the desired co-branding partner to pull up their Tapper profile.
  3. Find the co-branding toggle towards the bottom of their profile and turn the toggle to the “on” position
  4. When you turn on co-branding, additional information fields will activate. Enter the button label and url the button should route to then click ‘Update’.
  5. Navigate to the “Upload Images” tab to add a logo and photo for the business partner.

How app owners share a co-branded app from TappTracker

  1. Open TappTracker and navigate to the “Share” tab if needed.
  2. Enter (or import) the name and number of the app recipient.
  3. Click the “No Cobranding” button and select from available co-branding partners.
  4. Click the “Share App to Contact” button.

How app owners share a co-branded app from the dashboard

  1. Log in to the dashboard and click the blue, “Share App” button towards the top-left of the screen.
  2. Enter the name and number of the app recipient.
  3. Click the dropdown menu under the “Co-branded with” text and select from available co-branding partners.
  4. Click the “Send” button.

How co-branded partners share the app

Once a referral partner has a co-branded version of your app, that is the version they share. Additionally, when someone they share with shares the app, the co-branded version is shared.

  1. Open the co-branded app.
  2. Click the “Share” or “Refer” button on the home tab.
  3.  Enter the recipient’s contact information and any notes to reference later. Click “Share App”.

How to add a co-branded partner to an existing app user

  1. Log in to your desktop dashboard and navigate to the ‘Tappers’ tab.
  2. Click the name of the Tapper you wish to adjust.
  3. Use the co-branding dropdown menu next to the “Cobranded with” label and select from available co-branding partners.
  4. Click “Update”
